Where is the library situated?
The Education Centre Library at South Warwickshire Foundation NHS Trust is on the first floor of the Education Centre Building on Lakin Road, Warwick.

 

What journals can I read in the library?

What journals are available online?

Log into Athens and go to MyJournals and access thousands of full-text journals.

 

I can’t find the information I want, can you get it for me?

It is usually possible to obtain a copy of a specific article via our Inter-Library Loans (ILL) service. Click here for more details.

Does the library have computers, and is there WiFi?

The library has 4 computers with Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. All computers are connected to the Hospital Intranet and are available to all staff and most students. Printing is available through the trust printing network.

All computers are password controlled and regularly monitored by the Trust. Wi-Fi is available via the SWFT Staff WiFi (for staff) and Patient WiFi (for students and visitors – no password is needed).

Booking is not essential but is recommended at busier times.

QUESTIONS FROM STUDENTS 

Q: It would be useful to have a Moodle account to access journals from home.

A: All online journals are accessible from home via our website. Go to the right hand column and click on Full Text Finder. You will need an NHS Athens account to search. Article searches can be made through the EbscoHost database in the same column.

Q: Can we have more copies of the most popular books? / Not enough copies of general medicine textbooks.

A: We will look at this as part of our annual book update..
